There are many different types of massages and some people find they may prefer one over another. We are proud to provide a number of special massages to fit everyone's needs. Our therapists focus mostly on medical pain relief massages but also incorporate the client's personal requests.
Pre-Adjustment Massage Therapy
When a massage therapist is available during office hours, enjoy a 5 or 10 minute massage for only $1 a minute.
Creams/Lotions are used to increase the enjoyment of the massage. We have found that the combination of massage and chiropractic adjustments works the best to heal the two components that are involved with the majority of back pain: the joints and the muscles. Most of the time, there are two components to your problem so treating one without the other will only delay the healing process.

TYPES OF MASSAGE OFFERED
Swedish Massage (Medi-Massage) uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension. The term "Swedish Massage" refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management.
Deep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber's of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage.
Pregnancy Massage is performed to help our moms reduce pain in their lower backs, rib cage and pelvis area. They will be supported in a comfortable sideline position with cushions to help them feel relaxed. Our therapists are experienced in pregnancy massages and will use Swedish massage techniques to help relieve their pain.
Therapeutic Massage retains a large relaxation element to it but advanced techniques are used for pain and chronic health issues. A therapeutic or clinical massage practitioner will see a client very frequently for the first few weeks or months. This might include half hour massages three times a week, or weekly hour massages for a couple of months. Advanced techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy may be used.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a form of gentle massage that boosts the movement of the lymphatic system. This massage focuses on removing waste and toxins from the bodily tissues.
Oncology Massage is a modified massage safely performed on cancer patients to work with the complications of cancer.
